MTB MISHMI HILL CHALLLENGE EXPEDITION 2019-20 FROM TEZU TO KIBITHO(KAHO)

INTRODUCTION:

This cycleling events is conducting in “Mishmi Hills Challenges MTB Cycle Expedition since 2015 to explore adventure sports potential of the area and promotion of Mountain Terrain Biking (MTB) expeditions in the State.  this year also the  Cycling expedition is from Tezu to Kibitho coinciding with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Tamladu Festival at Tezu w.e.f 14th to 16th Feb’ 2020. The expedition will be covering more than 300 km.
The expedition can be considered challenging given the road conditions and the continuous changes in elevation and the valley floors lying anywhere between 450m to 1675m). The destination – Kibito (Kaho) lies at an altitude of over 2000m ASL, deep in the folds of the easternmost flank of the India called one of the largest battle field, last village and first sunrise of India.





The region can be described as a vast maze of ridges, in all shades of green, with fast flowing emerald rivers that merge to form the mighty Brahmaputra. These feeder rivers constitute the watershed area of the Brahmaputra and together they create one of the largest drainage system in the country.


SYNOPSIS:

The Mishmi Hills of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh is made up of India’s four eastern most districts. Together they for the eastern most flanks of the Great Himalayan Range (bordering China and Myanmar). The expedition begins in the Tezu and makes its way – via Hayuliang – to Kibito (Kaho), the last easternmost village of India under Anjaw District (Deep in the folds of the Mishmi Hills). The riding will take place in these two districts which is chiefly inhabited by the Digaru ,miju Mishmi and mayor tibe of Arunachal Pradesh .



OBJECTIVES:

To develop a mountain bike tourism product in the region, working closely with the community, that can stimulate the local economy, create employment and be eminently sustainable.
To promote adventure sports through MTB Expedition in Arunachal Pradesh.
To show case MTB rider potentiality in Lohit, L/Dibang Valley & Dibang valley all over district of Arunachal Pradesh.
To train and enthuse the local young people from the Anjaw, Lohit, Dibang valley & L/Dibang valley and other region with the knowledge and skills to complete mountain bike challenges and compete in mountain bike events that reach much further and wider than this region, further promoting the region to the worldwide MTB audience.


To boost socio-economic and Eco-Tourism development in Arunachal Pradesh through adventure sports.To inculcate the sense of sustainable development to the youths through MTB adventure activities.
To set up route and recci for setting up permanent camp site point to point where necessary basing on a minimum distance coverage.



CONCEPT:
Mountain Bike Expedition is fast becoming popular in Arunachal Pradesh and the past 2 years has seen a mushrooming of interest in the Adventure sport and rapid increase in the number of people keen to try out their skill in a MTB over interesting and challenging ground. Never before have there been so many events and regular weekend training and social rides. New comers are starting at an easy pace, setting themselves. As a result, expedition have become very popular and there are now the MTB Mishmi Hill Challenge on the annual sports calendar in Arunachal Pradesh.

ITINERARY:
DAY 1 Feb’ 12th 2020: Rider should report at Tazu by own.
Registration of Cyclist at Tezu.

DAY 2 Feb’ 13th 2020: Tezu to Teding (65 km).
: Flag off from Tezu and halt at Teding (River Camp).




DAY 3 Feb 14th 2020: Teding to Chuwingti (55 km)
: Expedition will starts from Teding and climb to folds of Eastern Himalayas at the vertical altitude of about 800m and will reach at Chuwingti.



DAY 4 Feb 15th 2020: Chuwingti to Walong Garam Pani (50 km).
: The 3rd day of expedition will starts from Chuwingti with a steady cycling towards Walong and will reach at camp site Garam Pani.





DAY 5  Feb 16th 2020: Walong Garam Pani to Kibito (Kaho) and return back toWalong Garam Pani (50 km).




:  The expedition will starts from Walong Garam Pani with a steady cycling towards the area in between Walong & Kibitoo where most of battle fought in 1962 between India & China after that will reach  to Kitiboo and Kaho village the easternmost flank village of India
 and return back to Walang Garam Pani campsite.Flag Inn ceremony at Walang Garam Pani and whole night stay at Guest house/Circuit house.

DAY 6 17th Feb 2020: Walong Garam Pani to Dong (8 km).
: The last day will be trekking by cyclist towards Dong to see the place where the first sun rising in India.



DAY 7 18th Feb 2020: Walong Garam Pani to Tezu Return back.

Disaster Management Training.

Three day (25 to 27 March 2019 National level training of Trainer (TOT) on Disaster management.
Today's is Final day of the Training, 12 BN NDRF Doimukh (A. P) Team. Demonstrate on disaster management and rescue operation are conducted at Dhemaji.
People will always throw stones in your successful path.
Now it depends on you what you make of it,
A wall or a bridge.
Remember, u are the architect of ur life.
I am very thankful to 12BN NDRF Doimukh (A. P.)Team . And we are very proud to be Indian.

Magic Club to mark the World Earth Day


CHIMPU, Apr 22: Around 70 tree saplings were planted at the Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 campus here by the volunteers of the Magic Club to mark the World Earth Day.





The volunteers also constructed a bamboo fence around all the tree saplings planted today. Besides the volunteers of the Magic Club, ADC capital complex T Dupak and faculty and students of the school also actively participated in the event.
Addressing the gathering, Dupak lauded the initiative of the Magic Club and urged them to carry on their endeavour to save Mother-Nature.
Lauding the initiative of the club, the school’s principal informed that many trees were uprooted in the last storm and that today’s plantation will go a long way in maintaining the greenery in the school. He added that it will also serve as an inspiration to the students to undertake similar activities.
