Magic Club to mark the World Earth Day
CHIMPU, Apr 22: Around 70 tree saplings were planted at the Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 campus here by the volunteers of the Magic Club to mark the World Earth Day.
The volunteers also constructed a bamboo fence around all the tree saplings
planted today. Besides the volunteers of the Magic Club, ADC capital complex T
Dupak and faculty and students of the school also actively participated in the
event.
Addressing the gathering, Dupak lauded the initiative of the Magic Club and
urged them to carry on their endeavour to save Mother-Nature.
Lauding the initiative of the club, the school’s principal informed that many
trees were uprooted in the last storm and that today’s plantation will go a
long way in maintaining the greenery in the school. He added that it will also
serve as an inspiration to the students to undertake similar activities.
